Interim Head of Communications

We are searching for an Interim Head of Communications for our client, a growing fin-tech company. This is an interim contract 4-5 months starting as soon as possible. The role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and the candidate will be part of the marketing leadership team

As Head of Communications you will work with, inspire and lead the communications team (comms + social) to develop and implement overall Communications strategy (Marketing / Product & Corp Comms) on all channels. Handle relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as reporters, media and creative teams.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the development of all communications material, including press releases, messaging, talking points, social content and presentations as necessary
  • Develop Public Relations plans to promote the company’s brand, product offerings, focusing on relevant markets/segments, including programming and events
  • Cultivate close working relationships with Sales, Leadership Team, Product & Strategy to drive a unified message through our campaign cadences
  • Identify and develop communications tactics and strategy – per market, segment, partner (as necessary)
  • Own and create the GTM communication strategies across the business

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years hands-on communications experience in the Fintech or Media industry, with experience managing a team
  • Passion and strong knowledge of fintech, entertainment, media & future innovation
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency with all forms of media – traditional, digital (including web 3.0) and social media
  • Ability to foster positive relationships
  • Strong writing and editorial skills, and social-media/metaverse savvy
  • People facilitator and ability to foster positive relationships
  • Strong media relations experience with an ability to think creatively and develop new ways to reach media and consumers – ideally with existing relationships that could be leveraged
  • Shown ability to build communications campaigns that align with business objectives
