Director Business Developer

We operate in the consumer goods industry, where innovation, digitalization, and transformation drive progress. We are now looking for a Business Development Director to lead the company’s most critical growth and transformation initiatives. This role is central to turning strategy into concrete results and ensuring that the organization succeeds in executing its top priorities. As Business Development Director, you will be given the mandate to influence the company’s strategic agenda and long-term direction. The role is both analytical and hands-on – you are expected to design high-level plans while also ensuring they are successfully implemented in day-to-day operations.

A key part of the assignment is to monitor and drive progress across all strategic initiatives, making sure the organization stays on track , while working closely with the Head of Business Development to secure quality and pace in execution. 

You are expected to lead through influence and coordinate cross-functional teams in areas such as Marketing, Operations, Digital, Supply Chain, and Finance. By creating structure, ensuring momentum, and building engagement, you act as a catalyst to keep projects moving forward.

The role requires strong ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term goals. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, where your ability to analyze, communicate, and challenge is critical to raising the quality of decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive strategic initiatives from idea to execution, with a strong focus on measurable business outcomes.
  • Structure, plan, and follow up on the project portfolio connected to the company’s growth strategy.
  • Develop and ensure reporting to management and the board, including monthly follow- up on strategic initiatives, KPIs, and risk management.
  • Collaborate closely with senior executives and act as a bridge between strategy and operational execution.
  • Drive transformation and improvement initiatives in close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Digital, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Identify new business opportunities and provide analysis and recommendations for future growth.
  • Inspire and engage both direct team members and cross-functional groups, with clear leadership and strong communication skills.

Background & Experience

  • ~ 5 years of experience in business development, strategy, and project management, ideally with a background in management consulting or on the client side.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and decision-making levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence in working data-driven.
  • Ability to handle both strategic questions and operational details, and to quickly switch between the two perspectives.• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is a requirement as it is the corporate language.
  • International experience is a plus but not required. Industry background from consumer goods, retail, or digital development is meritorious.
