Modine is seeking an accomplished and visionary General Manager to lead our operations in Sweden and China. This is a pivotal role with full responsibility for shaping the company’s strategic direction, driving profitable growth, and strengthening Modine’s position as a global leader in climate and heat transfer solutions.

As General Manager, you will be accountable for both long-term strategic development and day-to-day operational excellence. You will lead a diverse international team, inspire a culture of innovation and collaboration, and ensure that Modine delivers sustainable value to its customers, employees, and stakeholders.

The role reports to Group VP, Heat transfer Solutions and is located in the Swedish HQ in Söderköping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute business strategies that secure long-term growth and competitiveness in global markets.
  • Business Growth & Market Development: Identify opportunities in existing and new markets, ensuring profitable expansion across Sweden, China, and beyond.
  • Financial & Operational Excellence: Drive strong financial performance, optimize operations, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Leadership & People Development: Build, inspire, and mentor a high-performing leadership team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and engagement across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strengthen relationships with customers, partners, employees, and the Board, ensuring trust and alignment.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards, business ethics, and local regulations in both Sweden and China.

Competence Requirements

  • Proven track record as a CEO or senior executive in an international industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant academic degree, ideally MSc/MA in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong leadership background with experience managing operations across multiple geographies.
  • Deep understanding of industrial processes, climate solutions, and/or heat transfer technologies is highly advantageous.
  • Strong grasp of corporate finance, P&L management, and performance-driven business models.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement growth strategies in complex and competitive markets.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in English and preferably Swedish; additional language skills are an asset.
