Sales Director Retail

Svenska Fönster is one of Sweden’s largest window manufacturers. Svenska Fönster is part of the Dovista Group, which has approximately 6,600 employees. Together, we are the leading supplier of facade windows and exterior doors in Europe, with well-established brands and a strong local presence. The Group is owned by the VKR Group – a Danish family- and foundation-owned company with around 19,000 employees in about 40 countries. Dovista’s organization in Sweden currently consists of three companies: Svenska Fönster, Mockfjärds Fönster, and Velfac, with a total turnover of approximately SEK 2 billion and around 600 employees.

We are now looking for a commercially driven and relationship-oriented Sales Manager to strengthen our presence in the building merchant channel. This is a key role at Svenska Fönster, where you will take ownership of central retail chain agreements, develop sales strategies, identify new growth opportunities, and build strong long-term customer partnerships. You will also lead and coach a dedicated team of salespeople and specialists, ensuring profitable growth and a best-in-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the building merchant segment.
  • Own and expand central retail chain agreements, driving efficiency and profitability.
  • Identify growth opportunities and translate them into actionable business plans.
  • Analyze sales data, profitability, and customer behavior to optimize performance and secure targets.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key customers at all levels—central buyers, local managers, and individual sales staff.
  • Create brand ambassadors among customer sales teams by strengthening their knowledge and positive experience of Svenska Fönster’s products and customer journey.
  • Collaborate across DOVISTA functions to deliver a competitive offering and best-in-class customer experience.
  • Manage and develop digital sales tools and product training programs.
  • Represent Svenska Fönster at trade fairs, customer events, and industry gatherings.
  • Lead and coach a team of 8 sales people and 8 specialists (product, sales support systems, and training), with focus on results, customer satisfaction, and professional development.

Background and Experience

  • Proven track record in sales through reseller/retail channels.
  • Strong commercial understanding and experience in working with profitability targets.
  • Experience in developing customer relationships and driving growth.
  • Knowledge and hands-on use of digital sales tools and CRM systems.
  • Previous experience delivering results within a larger group/organization where cross-functional collaboration is key.
