With a new CEO at the helm, Sting is now entering an exciting new phase — and we’re looking for a Head of Marketing & Communication to lead the next chapter of our brand journey. The position:
As Head of Marketing & Communication, you’ll be the architect of Sting’s external presence and storytelling. You’ll own and evolve the brand, drive digital engagement, attract the most promising startups to Sting’s programs and ensure that Sting continues to stand out as the most relevant and inspiring community and platform for startups in the Nordics.
You’ll lead all marketing, communications, and brand development — from positioning and messaging to content creation, leads generation, PR and media, events and digital strategy. You’ll work closely with Sting’s leadership team, program managers, and portfolio companies, ensuring that our marketing not only builds awareness but directly fuels our deal flow and community growth.

What the role will Include:
- Lead Sting’s overall marketing and communications strategy – shaping how we talk about our mission, impact, and role in the startup ecosystem.
- Work closely with the program, investor and thematic leads to convert goals into measurable marketing flows from awareness to conversion.
- Develop and implement campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and qualified startup applications across programs.
- Build and refine Sting’s brand platform – from visual identity and tone of voice to storytelling and positioning.
- Own and evolve key channels – including website, LinkedIn, newsletters, and media presence – ensuring consistent, engaging, and premium-quality output.
- Activate and strengthen Sting’s PR and media visibility, securing earned media coverage, speaker opportunities, and thought-leadership exposure for the organization.
- Create compelling content – articles, videos, case stories, and visuals that highlight founders, portfolio companies, and Sting’s impact.
- Design and manage automated founder journeys in HubSpot (or similar CRM) and maintain a clean and structured CRM setup ensuring data integrity.
- Use data and digital tools to track performance, measure outcomes, and optimize campaigns in real time, and build reporting dashboards to monitor and optimize the end-to-end marketing funnel.
- Arrange and manage both large and small events such as Demo Days, bootcamps, and Sting’s presence at startup and partner events.
- Support portfolio companies with marketing and communication guidance, helping them sharpen their narratives and reach their audiences more effectively.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the CEO, program leads, and partners to ensure alignment between marketing, recruitment, and ecosystem activities.
- Lead a small marketing team of 1-2 persons.
Skills & requirements:
- Proven experience in leading marketing and communications within fast-growing startup/scaleup companies, the startup ecosystem, and/or the investor community. Well connected and involved in the Swedish startup ecosystem.
- Excellent storytelling, content creation and copywriting skills, with the ability to translate complex topics (deep tech or science-based innovation) into clear and inspiring narratives.
- Strong visual and aesthetic sense – capable of ensuring that everything Sting produces looks and feels professional, premium, and on-brand.
- Experience developing brand and communication strategies, including positioning and key messaging, and managing PR and media
- Experience designing and implementing customer/applicant journeys, including segmentation, lead nurturing, and data-driven personalization. Analytical and confident in interpreting data to guide campaign improvements.
- Strong project management skills and experience from leading small effective marketing teams, and a large network of skilled freelance resources to tap into.
- Strong knowledge of CRM and marketing automation tools (HubSpot preferred), and other digital tools such as Webflow, Notion, Circle, LinkedIn, Google Workspace, and social media platforms.
- Comfortable using and exploring AI-driven tools to improve creativity, efficiency, and analytics.
- Full professional fluency in both Swedish and English (written and spoken).
- A relevant academic degree (Bachelor’s or higher).
