Contract Manager

SAS Technical Operations is composed of Maintenance Production (Part 145), providing line maintenance services in Scandinavia to SAS and other airlines, and CAMO accountable for the continuing airworthiness of the SAS fleet including the departments Contracts, Engineering, Maintenance Planning & Control. Technical Operations employs approximately 1150 persons spread over the three Scandinavian countries, whereof CAMO employs approximately 100 persons centralized at SAS headquarters at Frösundavik, Stockholm.

Contracts

The Contracts function within CAMO is responsible for contracting and contract management of all out-sourced maintenance, including airframe, components and engines maintenance. The Contracts function employs 8 persons working closely with the rest of Technical Operations, Strategic Sourcing, Finance, and suppliers.

Main tasks

As our new Components Contract Manager you will be the key responsible person to maintain and develop the components maintenance support contract and manage contractual relationship with the suppliers at both strategic and tactical level. In this role you will also be the deputy to our Head of Contracts.

As member of the contract team your primary task is to create maximum value for SAS through excellent practices within business analysis, sourcing, benchmarking, negotiations and supplier management. Our challenge and roadmap for the next 1-3 years is to develop our Contracts function into a best practice unit, a journey we expect you to be a major contributor to.

Background and personal characteristics 

We are looking for an experienced and inspiring candidate with relevant background from the aviation industry, or other equivalent experience in the machinery or transport industry.

Potential candidates have a strategic working level and documented experience and proven success from large contracts working with business analysis, sourcing strategy, contract negotiation and supplier management, with a continuous focus and drive to reduce cost.
