Global Sales and Marketing Director

Purpose of this role

  • Overall responsible for managing and driving sales and market activities within the e-mobility & Lightning business unit in Sweden.
  • Gradually take on the Global responsibility for the growth of e-mobility product & services by increasing the market share in existing markets and establish DEFA as the preferred supplier in new markets.
  • Part of the management team for the business unit.

Main Tasks

  • Plan, direct and coordinate the sales and distribution activities for the business in Sweden.
  • Lead and coach the sales teams and sales activities ensuring that budgets and strategic plans are being executed:
  1. Develop strategy, tactics, sales plans, sales & cost budget within given margin targets
  2. Develop relationships with new and existing clients
  3. Identify and reporting on business opportunities in target markets
  4. Maximize new business development opportunities
  5. Oversee and support sales development with project sales towards targeted customers according to defined sales process (relationship-building, evaluation, prioritization & follow-up of projects, CRM etc.)
  • Global responsibility to lead and grow the e-mobility products in defined target markets
  • Ensure recruitments and organizational development according to plan
  • Representing the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events
  • Secure that agreed marketing activities are implemented and that they position DEFA in the market in such a way that it supports the vision, mission, strategy and goals in cooperation with the Group Marketing function
  • Develop and execute multi-channel sales and market activities.

Required personal qualifications & abilities

  • Preferably a commercial master’s degree or MBA level education.
  • 5-10 years sales experience within Lightning and/or e-mobility industry
  • 3-5 years leadership experience in building, leading and coaching sales/marketing teams
  • International experience is an advantage
  • Proven record of delivering strong results
  • Good technical understanding (components, products and systems)
  • Knowledge of business and management principles and practices
  • Strong ability to work cross-functional in a matrix organization with members from different countries and different cultures
  • Strong understanding of solution sales and ability to develop business models
  • Strong capability to communicate in written and spoken English

The position is located in the Swedish office in Kista, Stockholm and reporting to Executive Vice President BU e-mobility & Lighting
