About The Job

The role as Head of Corporate & Public Affairs is a diverse and highly business-oriented role. You will support the dialogue and cooperation with the company stakeholders across the Nordic & Baltic countries: consumers, customers, suppliers, shareholders, journalists, business partners, key opinion leaders, public authorities, scientific bodies and NGOs. You will be supporting business priorities in the areas of Health & Nutrition, Sustainability & CSR.

As Head of Corporate & Public Affairs you will be leading the External Communication & Public Affairs team and agenda across the Nordics & Baltics. This means having the opportunity to make a big impact every day on a local level as well as globally.

The role is based in our office in Solna, Stockholm.

Your main responsibilities will be to lead and deliver:

  • Responsible for many aspects of Danone and brands’ earned media presence in the Nordics & Baltics, incl overall planning and execution, writing materials to support PR and media outreach e.g. press releases, messages, Q&As., on and off-line monitoring , reputation measurement.
  • Coach and lead the external communication and public affairs team.
  • Stakeholders (government, parliament, NGOs, KOLs, influencers) engagement.
  • Ensure preparation for stakeholder dialogues and follow-up on engagements.
  • Danone positions, advocacy plan and coalitions on public affairs topics.
  • Strategy definition and Danone representation in Industry associations.
  • Crisis communication and support to overall crisis management.
  • Leading and implementing plans for Danone’s local sustainability activities and commitments, and support on Biodiversity and Packaging projects.
  • Monitor and analyze relevant policy developments linked to sustainability and health.
  • Initiate and launch external events.

ABOUT YOU 

  • In order to be successful you need to have:
  • A relevant academic agree (e.g. PR, Communications, Journalism).
  • 7+ years’ experience in Public affairs and Communication.
  • Leadership experience, preferably from an international environment.
  • Experience in building a Corporate affairs strategy in an industry facing increased consumer challenge and public scrutiny.
  • Experience in ‘activist‘-like Public affairs and Communication, preferably from the food industry.
  • Good knowledge of political stakeholders and NGOs in the Nordics.
  • Integrity and grit to drive development in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to change, different context and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in Swedish and English – other Nordic or Baltic languages is a strong merit.
  • True passion for stakeholder engagement and sustainability.
