The position

We are seeking a highly skilled Grid Planner to join our team and play a critical role in managing and optimizing grid integration for our solar projects in Sweden. The Grid Planner will be responsible for ensuring that our solar projects achieve grid connection agreement. The role reports to Grid Integration Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Grid Integration: Follow up the latest grid owners electrical development to support the team finding grid capacity in the network. 
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of grid infrastructure and performance to assess the impact of solar projects into the grid. Identify and address any technical challenges or constraints related to grid integration.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project development teams, engineers, and external stakeholders to design and implement effective grid integration solutions. Ensure that projects meet technical requirements and deadlines. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about Swedish and EU grid regulations, standards, and policies. Follow up the latest grid owners electrical development to support the team finding grid capacity in the network. Ensure that all grid-related activities and projects comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices. 
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues related to grid connectivity. Work with internal teams and external partners to address and mitigate problems. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with grid operators, utilities, and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate and facilitate grid integration efforts. Build and maintain strong relationships to support successful project outcomes. 
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present technical reports, analyses, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Document grid integration processes, performance metrics, and technical solutions. 
  • Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to grid integration and solar energy. Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and best practices to improve grid integration. 

Qualifications 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher qualification is preferred. 
  • Language: Fluent in English and Swedish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grid connection of renewables power plant, electrical engineering, or a related field, with a strong focus on renewable energy projects. Experience with solar energy systems and the Swedish energy market is highly desirable. 
  • Deep understanding of grid codes, standards, and regulations in Sweden. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems. 
  • Proven ability to analyze and solve complex technical issues. 
  • Proficiency in grid simulation and analysis tools. Experience in DigSilent power factory or PSSE simulation is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
