Business Control is a part of SAS Finance, a corporate function within SAS that includes the following areas of responsibilities: Financial Services and Group Accounting, Tax, Fleet Management, Facilities, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Treasury, and well as Business Control for all divisions within SAS including Group Business Control. Main focus areas for the Finance department are: Secure best possible financing. Drive and lead efficient financial processes. Ensure best practice financial management- and business support to all divisions. Ensure performance transparency and work for a “know your numbers” culture where cost savings and revenue initiatives are delivered according to commitment.

SAS – Head of Business Control IT & Digital Innovation

We are now looking for a “Head of Business Control IT & Digital Innovation” to join our Finance team. To ensure IT as a competitive advantage for SAS, a feasible yet challenging transformation roadmap will be implemented over the next few years. The strategy builds on three focus areas: 1) Delivery excellence, 2) IT as a business enabler; and (3) Digital Innovation. Successful implementation is dependent on strengthened and increasingly effective cost transparency within IT & Digital Innovation.

The Head of Business Control IT & Digital Innovation position will be responsible for ensuring effective cost and performance transparency, and will as such manage the financial processes within the IT & Digital Innovation business unit. You will have managerial responsibility of two direct reports, a team that will play a key role in transforming the IT & Digital Innovation function within SAS with focus on improved business efficiency and effectiveness.

Main areas of responsibilities

With leadership based on SAS leadership model, the Head of Business Control IT & Digital Innovation will

• Act as sparring partner CIO and the IT & Digitalization management team in terms of finance-, business-, and transformation related matters

• Ensure performance and cost transparency by managing financial processes for the IT & Digitalization business unit:

• Management reporting on performance and KPIs

• Cost savings and transformation initiative follow up

• Budget, forecast, monthly closing, and management reporting

• Lead team of two direct reports within Business Control IT & Digital Innovation

• Drive a ”know your numbers” culture to expose inefficiencies and support corrective actions

• Continuously improve effectiveness between Business Control IT & Digital Innovation and relevant stakeholders, including Financial Control, and our Shared Service Center (Accenture)

Experience and Background

• University degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or equivalent

• Experience from financial planning, analysis, and business control

• Solid general business understanding

• Holistic approach to business processes and value streams

• Stakeholder management and cross functional leadership in a multinational environment

• Business performance management

• Program and project management

• Process analysis and LEAN

• Communication (oral and written) in English as well as in one Scandinavian language

• Communication and presentation

• MS Office, Oracle, Hyperion or other systems of relevance

• Excellent leadership skills, strong representative of SAS leadership model

• Service oriented with high customer focus and well developed social skills
