The CTO will help align the organisation around delivering high quality technology products at pace that meet changing customer needs. The ideal candidate will be both a visionary as well as an experienced manager, and will have deep engineering knowledge and a solid understanding of the full technology stack. This role will require a practical approach to development, requiring the candidate to stay up to date with the landscape of current and new tools. The CTO should be intellectually curious about business strategy and technology, and be able to speak passionately about Urb-it to both internal and external stakeholders.


  • Responsible for the technical vision that makes business sense and making sure that the stakeholders are aligned around it.
  • Identify, develop and manage contractual relationships with strategic partners and providers
  • Provide clear requirements and business rules to guide the development of new features and define acceptance criteria of those features.
  • Coordinates with product owners and project managers to ensure enhancements are implemented per specifications, within budget and on schedule.
  • Deliver meaningful change to the customer experience that impacts the bottom line by spending lot of time working closely with the UX/Interaction.
  • Assess technologies and design technical architectures to increase business agility and manage complexity.


  • Experience from a start-up within the IT or fin-tech industry.
  • Relevant academic degree.
