Head of Nordic Marketing & Communications develops, implements and ensures high quality execution of marketing & communications strategy that supports the business objectives of BCG Nordics. S/he integrates activities across key marketing platforms and builds a consistent and a coherent image of the BCG brand.
The role reports to Nordic Business Management Director and is guided by the Nordic Marketing Partner as well as the Nordic Management Team. S/he runs marketing operations across the Nordics and leads a team of 7 marketing coordinators/specialists (1-2 in each Nordic country) and 1 visual specialist. S/he works in a close cooperation with the local marketing partners in each Nordic office as well with BCG Global Marketing. The role requires travelling within the Nordic region combined with some global travel.
Main responsibilities
– Develops, implements and ensures high quality execution of the Nordic marketing & communications strategy that supports business objectives:
- Marketing & Sales & Digital: Links our various marketing platforms (media/PR, flagship events, social media, BCG Perspectives, employer brand) together and close to sales and digitalizes the offering
- Brand: Positions BCG’s brand/business impact in the media by ensuring high media coverage for our priority topics. Effectively cooperates with the local PR agencies & local marketing teams to achieve that
- High impact events: Develops client event concepts (Nordic flagship events and local events) that reflect our on-going strategic priorities and executes high quality events together with the Nordic Marketing Team
- Employer branding: Together with Recruiting, is responsible for further developing BCG employer branding in the Nordics
- Communications: Ensures efficient internal communication of on-going priorities across various topics. Manages Nordic Visual Services team and is link to global organization
- Impact to society: Ensures that BCG is part of the most important forums to contribute to the society
– Is the line manager for the Nordic Marketing team: supports, guides and coaches the team members on daily basis ensuring high quality operations across the platforms
– Coordinates and supports the development of local office marketing plans and budgets together with the local marketing teams and follows-up progress
– Coordinates and collaborates with Global Marketing and other regional marketing teams, alumni and recruiting teams to develop and implement major marketing initiatives
– Leads other special projects along our strategic priorities
Job requirements
- University degree
- 10-15 years of work experience, where of significant share in B2B marketing (media/PR, flagship events, digital, social media, communications)
- Experience of building integrated marketing and sales offering
- Strong capabilities in building Digital offering across various channels, background from a tech company can be an advantage
- Proven track record of driving change and building organizations
- Experience from entrepreneurial and fast moving organizations
- Several years of line management experience to manage a team in multiple locations
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral English, one of the Nordic languages is a plus
- Excellent communication and interaction skills
- Good computing skills, comfortable with adopting IT/system tools
