Online Analytics Manager

Scandic Hotels is the largest hotel operator in the Nordics with a network of 230 hotels. We are present in seven countries and the turnover in 2016 was 13 billion SEK.
In 2015, Scandic was introduced on the stock market, and last year we were the fastest growing hotel share in the world. We operate in the mid-market, and have recently added a number of signature hotels to our portfolio – providing a more unique hotel experience. Scandic´s revenue growth during recent years confirms the strong momentum we have in the company. Our pipeline of new hotels, as well as our increased focus on the commercial organization, prove our current focus on growth. 

The Marketing organization at Scandic consists of teams on Group as well as local marketing teams in the countries. We work closely together to inspire current customers and attract new customers to our hotels. As part of the Commercial organization on Group, the Ecommerce & Marketing team is responsible to drive our online sales – which today is 2 billion SEK yearly and growing. Our responsibility covers; Content in all channels, Performance Marketing, Marketing Platform Management, Online Analytics, Social Media and Online Reputation. We have a clear mandate and we aim to work agile and data-driven – where we go for business value, base decisions on data, test new approaches and channels, optimize, test and learn. 

What you will do 

As the Online Analytics Manager your key mission is to enable a data-driven marketing organization at Scandic. You will be responsible for how we track our visitors, what tools we use, and how to integrate the online analytics data with other sources. You provide guidelines and education to the local marketing teams. You strive to make all data collection and reporting automatic, and instead spend your time on developing the analytical toolset as well as providing insights. You support the content teams in how to optimize content based on data, and together with the rest of the team propose new ways of enabling more personalized content and advertising. You will be part of a cross-functional analytics team with participants from each of the functions within Group Commercial.  

Who you are

We think that you have studied Engineering or Economics, and have 3-5 years of experience within Online Analytics. You love numbers and being able to explain complex sets of data with simple graphs and insights. You are a team player and have good social skills in educating others who are not as analytical. You are eager to follow trends and changes in the market, and seek opportunities. Moreover, you feel that you can represent Scandic values – Be Caring, Be You, Be a Pro and Be Bold. You are fluent in English and preferably also ok in Swedish. 


In this role you will report into the Director of Ecommerce & Marketing who is reporting to the CCO, a position in the Executive Committee. You will be located at our head quarter office in Stockholm.
