Global Online Merchandising Manager

Acne Studios is a Stockholm based fashion house with a multi-disciplinary heritage. Through founder and Creative Director Jonny Johansson’s interest in art, architecture and street culture, an alternative path has been found, turning Acne Studios into a well-respected creator of ready-to-wear for men and women. The collections are defined by Jonny Johansson’s signature juxtaposing design and attention to detail, with an emphasis on tailoring and an eclectic use of materials and custom developed fabrics.Acne Studios is independently owned and has over 45 stores over the world including flagship stores in Paris, London, New York City, Los Angeles and Tokyo. The company has an annual turnover of around 200 MEUR and a total number of staff of more than 600, around 200 are working at the headquarters in Stockholm. Acne Studios also operate offices in Paris, New York, Oslo and Shanghai.

The Digital Commerce department manages the company’s global e-commerce business as well as the development and execution of digital marketing and omni-channel strategies.

Your role.

We are looking for a Global Online Merchandising Manager to drive the commercial and visual development and performance of globally. This entails maximizing visitor relevancy, spend and engagement on a daily basis, as well as ensuring that Acne Studios is at the forefront of online merchandising and personalization, both in terms of strategy and technology. You will lead a small team of merchandisers and collaborate with stakeholders across departments to continuously develop the shopping experience for our online customers, globally.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Own the visual merchandising agenda for the online shop, with the aim of increasing site performance and sales, while maintaining Acne Studios’ luxury fashion brand identity
  • Actively take part in the development of the website design, and proactively initiate new features and online tools, based on merchandising best practices. Lead related projects.
  • Ensure that segmentation and personalization opportunities are used to drive enhanced sales
  • Lead our conversion optimization program with the help of relevant teams
  • Based on strong data analyses, develop a solid understanding of our customers’ onsite behavior and set merchandising action plans accordingly, to deliver on department strategy and goals
  • Proactively participate in onsite A/B-testing and other experimentation
  • Provide fact-based input to the buying team to ensure that the buys deliver on the e-commerce needs across key regions
  • Be responsible for merchandising, personalization and recommendation of products for newsletters and customer marketing automation
  • Lead the team of online merchandisers

 Your background.

  • A degree in Business Administration or similar
  • Proven track record of strong results in relevant role(-s) within the fashion industry
  • A global mindset with minimum two years’ work experience outside your home country
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of SFCC Business Manager and Qlikview is meriting

 What you need to succeed.

The role requires the know-how and ability to take a data-driven approach to online merchandising, combined with an appreciation for luxury fashion customer needs across regions. As a leader you will need a solid understanding of daily online merchandising operations, paired with a strong ability to delegate and build report across departments. Diplomacy, analytical abilities and a clear point of view will be key success factors.

This is full-time position, based at Acne Studios’ HQ in central Stockholm.
