Key Account Manager – Renewable Road Transportation

The Key Account Manager is the ”CEO” and Head of the Key Account. You drive the business of the account, create strategy and action plan for the account and execute them together with the Key Account Team. The Key Account Manager leads, manages and coordinates the work of the account team(s), ensuring full internal account team support for achieving business targets.

Responsibilities

  • Build and foster the long-term customer relationship
  • Identify customer needs to develop required services/solutions
  • Drive sales expansion with the customer, ensuring new sales concepts, product and service introduction
  • Create and present quantified value propositions and offers to the customer
  • Map customer organizations, and develop customer relationship (e.g arrange management meetings, social events)
  • Drive the deepening of customer understanding within Neste
  • Own the strategy of the account
  • Create the Account Plan
  • Ensure strategy execution in accordance with the Account Plan
  • Deliver the sales & profitability target set for the account, implement the account management model
  • Negotiate needed contracts with the customer to ensure sales
  • Report on customer meetings, preparing briefs for executive meetings
  • Accountable for the account in SalesForce (content, quality of data)
  • Accountable for customer satisfaction process and customer incident handling his/her account
  • Engage internal account team(s) to support the work and ensuring resources for this work
  • Lead, manage and coordinate the work of his/her key account team(s), ensuring full internal account team support for achieving business targets
  • Communicate account/customer developments, successes, challenges, needs & expectations within Neste
  • Work according to the Neste Leadership Behavior Model

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in business, finance, engineering or related field
  • Experience with fuels and markets, distribution, retail or other relevant (eg. energy, chemistry, pharmaceutical) fields
  • 7-10 years experience in sales or business development; experience in conducting sales and relationship management
  • Experience in leading virtual teams in sales and relationship management function; strong interpersonal and management skills
  • Solutions / Services / Value Selling / Total cost of ownership-understanding
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and interpersonal skills across organizational levels
