Sales Director

Orkla Care is one of the Nordic region’s leading suppliers of cleaning and personal care products, dietary supplements, vitamins, wound care, sport nutrition and weight control products. Its well-known brands include Möller’s, Nutrilett, Jordan, Salvequick, Grumme, Bliw, Pharbio, Family Fresh, L300, HTH, Active Care and Gymgrossisten. Our products are sold online, through grocery stores, health food stores and pharmacies.

Are you a value driven, solid and coaching commercial leader? Do you have a strong track record in delivering commercial results across channels? Orkla Care Sweden is now looking for an experienced Sales Director to head the sales across channels in Sweden. You will be responsible for developing a robust strategic sales organization with strong steering and optimal resource allocation. With a coaching leadership style, you will manage, recruit, train and develop the sales department. Together with the Management team you will set the local strategic plan aligned with the overall company goals, corporate strategies and action plans. You have previous experience from a leading commercial position within FMCG with a strong track record in coaching leaders and to build a value driven culture with a cross functional collaboration in mind. The position is located at the Swedish office in Solna Business Park and is reporting to the CEO of Orkla Care Sweden.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Responsible for the sales in the country across channels, i.e grocery store, pharmacy, health trade, e-commerce, wholesale
  • Responsible for results, budgets and plans in sales and distribution
  • Coordinating price, trade terms and distribution to secure that the company appears coordinated towards trade across the different categories
  • Strategic and operative responsibility for developing and maintaining group and chains customer relations, thriving to make Orkla Care a preferred partner
  • Drive the digital transformation in sales with current and future needs and navigation in sight. Show a business understanding for channels, customers and other external stakeholders’ journeys.
  • Manage and develop employees to reach their full potential, cultivate competencies in accordance with Orkla’ s values and our matrix’s intentions
  • Contribute to strategic direction and act as a stakeholder in the management team for the benefit of the company

Previous Experience and skills

  • Academic degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • 8 + years sales experience from relevant commercial positions in FMCG
  • Longer management experience, preferably from large organizations with a proven track record
  • Strong knowledge in leadership and people management, experience in leading leaders
  • Experience from practical result responsibility and change management
  • Demonstrate experience and understanding for:
  • Key account management
  • Strategic customer treatment
  • Negotiations with highly demanding counterparts
  • Category management and merchandising
  • Assortment development
  • Organizational and people development, realizing and empowering employees’ full potential
  • Strategic and operative work in Management team
  • Experience from marketing or another category function is a plus
  • Fluent in written and oral Scandinavian and English.
