Program Manager – Business Ecosystem Smart Industry

We are looking for a Program Manager to our Business Ecosystem for Smart Industry focusing on global growth of Swedish companies, attracting foreign direct investments and establishing new strategic partnerships in industrial sectors key to Sweden.

We contribute to the welfare of society by accelerating the growth of Swedish companies abroad and helping international companies invest and expand in Sweden. As Program Manager you will lead global business development programs to connect start-ups with international hot-spots, lead SME companies to new markets, support companies to win large business deals and attract investment to Sweden from leading international companies. Your role is to drive the Smart Industry promotional agenda, designing and coordinating promotional projects and activities in key markets around the world. You will be responsible for the overall promotional results and the quality of the deliverables in a promotional program, including projects conducted in our key markets worldwide. You are also responsible for growing the promotional program by securing new funds and partners.

The program and project teams will include personnel from our offices both in Sweden and abroad but might also include personnel from collaborative partners, such as Embassies or representatives from other government authorities. In this complex project environment, you need to have a structured approach and be a natural leader that can motivate people across organizations even though you are not their direct manager or have the formal leadership.

Responsibilities.

  • Design, organize and coordinate a portfolio of projects and activities in accordance with the program mission, targets and Business Sweden’s strategy
  • Develop operating and communication plans for the promotional program
  • Anchor priorities and plans with our offices, key stakeholders and companies 
  • Produce insights on global trends and business opportunities relating Smart industry, sustainability and advanced manufacturing
  • Further improve client offerings and program management processes

You will work in our team in the Business Ecosystem for Smart Industry with the ambition to help Swedish companies develop and strengthen their market position and make Sweden a globally recognized leader in sustainable and smart production. All programs include innovation and sustainability aspects to act in line with Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement.

Requirements.

We believe you are a proactive, self-motivated and result-oriented person with a strategic mindset. You are very well structured and can drive several complex projects in parallel, a natural leader that can deliver results without formal leadership and across organisations. Strong relationship building skills with the ability to inspire, engage and interact with different stakeholders and decision makers (C-level managers & Ministers/Government level) are all musts in this role.

Qualifications.

  • Master of Science in Business or Engineering
  • A minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience
  • Solid knowledge of automation, robotics or other Industry 4.0 related technology areas is a strong merit
  • A minimum of 5 years experience from a management or technology consulting practice, or top tier manufacturing company
  • Professional experience from working abroad
  • Proven track-record of leading complex projects spanning multiple teams and markets
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and a great relationship builder
  • A dedicated team player who are eager to learn and enjoy sharing with others
  • Very strong presentations- and communication skills
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Swedish

The position is based in Stockholm and will require traveling in Sweden and abroad (post-corona)
