E-commerce Merchandiser

We are looking for an enthusiastic bright individual to join the Global Ecommerce team at J.Lindeberg to manage the online visual merchandising of the full range of products across the website and the product enrichment process. You will be responsible for the complete process from product data/information enrichment, visual merchandizing to category and page management. You will have a key function within our organization as a product owner of our search and discovery engine as-well as for PIM-data process. We are looking for a merchandising and searchandizing wizard who can take our category management and product optimizing process to the next level. Manage sell-thru optimization and find improvements to our configurable toolset, with focus on on-site search, sorting rules and product placement. We believe you are a solution-oriented product data owner with interest in brand and E-commerce – always with the customer in mind.

Responsibilities:

  • Product enrichment – ensure that all product meta-data, prices and product information is correctly displayed and in time.
  • Secure and optimize a proper go-live process for all E-commerce merchandize as part of the enrichment process.
  • Merchandizing – secure and monitor that category structure are meeting user needs, all relevant categories and pages are merchandized with the relevant products.
  • Ensuring all products are strategically merchandised across the site in; category listing pages, designer listing pages, and trend pages.
  • Searchandizing – recommended products, related searches, related queries etc. using behavior data and automation in order to create seamless personalized and relevant product search experience.  
  • Navigation – making sure customers find the products and categories they’re looking for.
  • Oversee the product database, products and category descriptions and audit current and new information to ensure accuracy.

  • Ensuring that prices and promotions are uploaded and displayed correctly on ECOM.  
  • Daily monitoring of incoming products to ensure the above listing pages are maintained and updated.
  • Securing that all seasonal ECOM buy are going live online and well merchandized in relevant categories/pages to maximize conversion and selling opportunities.
  • Working closely with our product development team, IT-department and ECOM studio department to ensure products information and images are delivered in-time to ensure a seamless go-live process for ECOM.   
  • Regular auditing of available product online to ensure it is appropriately represented and mirrors with current stock levels.
  • Communicate with buying department, marketing/PR-department to ensure right products are delivered and communicated in marketing.
  • Custom build product lists to support marketing, using knowledge of stock availability to ensure lists are commercial, yet maintaining the fashion credibility of the site.
  • Work with analytics to ensure framework for merchandising decisions and ongoing improvements can be tracked and validated on an ongoing basis.
  • Work closely with marketing activation, CRM, buying and SEO/SEM to ensure wider cross-channel campaigns are translating into tangible, logical product and site experience.
  • Define, track, and improve site KPIs, while reporting up and across the organization on progress and gaps.
  • Recognize and define opportunities and tools for cross-selling and up-selling

Experience:

  • Degree in marketing or related field
  • Working experience from product enrichment processes and product data management
  • Working experience from mechanizing and on-site search from E-commerce / retail
  • Experience from BI-tools such as MicroStrategy, Qlik or similar
  • E-commerce platform knowledge
  • Good excel-skills are necessary
  • Must be detail-orientated, deadline-driven, and able to multi-task with solid organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience in fashion retail and E-commerce is desirable
  • Experience from Ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, SalesForce CC, Algolia
  • Experience from PIM-data systems (Pimcore or similar)
  • Proactive and highly motivated team player.
  • Basic SEO knowledge
