As the Purchaser, you will be responsible for managing the company’s procurement for parts of Body Armor & Accessories. As such you are expected to ensure purchasing orders are placed in accordance with the demand plan and champion risk reduction through sequenced purchasing and just in time deliveries. The role is also expected to be part of the vendor management including governance and evaluation as well as ensuring the production capacity is planned and arranged.

To be successful in this role you will also need to keep an eye on process management – meaning ownership and accountability, ensure high levels of communication and continuously strive towards process improvement, automation of workflows and improve controls. You will be based at our HQ in Stockholm.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for purchasing body armor and accessories 
  • Manage and co-ordinate the purchasing process with vendors and sales / RND / planning.  
  • Ensure improved communication/reporting of pipeline deliveries and production status within AX/BI.
  • Develop and implement improved processes and controls for order placement in accordance with demand plan. 
  • Ensure orders are place in time and sequencing to focus on just in time deliveries
  • Ensure timely forecasts are provided to the vendors and sub-vendors to support capacity planning
  • Manage risk by developing improved controls and focus on reduced MOQ
  • Close communication with global departments 

Relevant experience

  • A higher education within relevant field is preferred but not a requirement
  • 3-5 years’ experience within purchasing, preferably from a global context
  • Experience working at a wholesale/retail-oriented company is an advantageous   
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills is required
  • Microsoft Dynamics skills are beneficial
  • Using POC product with either skiing or cycling is preferred

  • Being confident working in an environment where you have to be able to adjust based on daily assignments
  • Fluent in English
