Commercial Hospital Strategy Manager

In the role you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for our Hospital Tender portfolio to further improve Viatris position in the Hospital tender segment. You will have the full P&L accountability for your portfolio and also play an important role du evaluate and launch new products in close cooperation with the European teams the hospital segment and Business development . Tenders are becoming increasingly important for our business and is a significant contributor to our SEK 1.8 bn annual turnover You will also be responsible for the production and financial forecasting in close alignment with Finance and Supply Chain.

The role is based in Stockholm/Solna and is reporting to Head of Pricing and Tenders.

Key Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and execute of tender and hospital and strategies and tactics to deliver upon our short and long-term targets.
  • Lead the hospital brand team to grow the business by executing flawless launches of new products or expansion of current portfolio. This will also include the initial market potential assessment and the coordination with launch management.
  • Build lasting collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders which builds and sustains Viatris reputation through active contact with governance, region and pharmaceuticals associations (LIF, FGL, UHM, LV).
  • Implement the timely preparation of the annual budget, strategic plan, supply and financial forecast for the brands within portfolio
  • Develop superior County Council tender strategies & tactics based on careful analysis of current payor needs, changing payor public procurement legislation, competitor actions and changing sustainability and social responsibility rules
  • Implement the Forecast to ensure stock availability for won tenders and/or opportunities arising from competitor supply shortages
  • Lead the local CSR preparation and evaluation for the County Council tenders, monitor the National requirements for PIE and work through Regional and Global people responsible for CSR
  • Manage and lead the tender managers successfully by coaching and development.

Previous experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent majoring in Marketing, Economics or Pharmacy
  • + 7 years of experience in a strategic Commercial role within the Hospital tender sector is required.
  • Strong track record in negotiating and great understanding of legislation and regulations required in tender management
  • Preferably previous experience in People management
  • Excellent Swedish and English is required.
