Manager Retail Marketing Nordics

Samsung is now looking for a Manager of Retail Marketing Nordics for the MX team (Mobile Division, Consumer Sales). The scope for the Retail Marketing team goes from performing the analysis needed to set the Nordic Retail Marketing Strategy (where and what kind of solutions, etc) on to Implementation (design, production, installment, maintenance) and Evaluation for Nordic roll-outs and product launches. This is valid for all Samsung branded retail areas, including Samsung Experience Stores, Shop in shops, Shop display and Experience zones.

You will in the role lead and develop Samsung Electronic Nordic’s MX strategies and processes related to Retail Marketing. You will be responsible for recommendations and analysis on the nordic Retail Marketing investments and projects, as well as ensure that Nordic Retail Marketing Design Guidelines are followed for local projects.

The role reports to the Head of Marketing MX, who reports to the MX Divison Director.

Key responsibilities.

  • Lead and develop the Nordic Retail Marketing team.
  • Responsible for the development and compliance of Nordic Retail Marketing Strategy and guidelines.
  • Align Nordic Retail Marketing strategy with Nordic Sales and Marketing Divisions’ strategies for joint efforts in maximizing sell-out and brand preference. Provide such guidance to the local countries.
  • Ensure that the Retail Marketing team follows the framework set regarding budget planning, contract and follow up.
  • Guide and support the local retail teams in the roll out and maintenance of Samsung dedicated retail environments.
  • Secure optimal retail marketing execution through collaboration with external agencies and partners.
  • Responsible for identifying needs for and management of shopper insight studies and mystery shopping studies, in cooperation with CMI Department.
  • Monitor and react on competitive intelligence.
  • Proactively identify and recommend improvement areas to the local countries for Samsung’s retail presence in the Nordics.
  • Ensure that Nordic Retail Marketing investment decisions are based on retail and channel segmentation, solid facts and analysis.
  • Drive and provide conclusions in all Retail Marketing related analysis and evaluation work, move beyond analysis and reach for action.
  • Head responsible for retail market insight data and store performance versus KPIs, such as dead inventory.
  • Give recommendations about which store partnerships to develop further and which to reduce or close down.
  • Outreaching and coaching towards Local Retail Marketing regarding ROI, segmentation and investments.
  • Outreaching towards customers to enable win-win situations and ensure optimized retail investments.
  • Secure store segmentation is being conducted with a data driven approach, and align the store segmentation implementation with the local countries.
  • Provide analysis on Field Force performance and forward such information to the local countries for the local Field Force teams to take actions for improvement.

Relevant experience / Qualifications.

  • Relevant academic degree within business administration, economics, marketing or similar
  • Minimum 7 years from marketing in a high performing FMCG and/or CE/Telecom corporation.
  • Investment management and budgeting.
  • Advanced analysis on a strategic level.
  • Experience from sales and/or trade marketing is a merit.
  • Experience from a concept driven retail environment is a merit.
  • Experience from Nordic matrix organization is a merit.
  • Strong experience from running cross-functional projects.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good knowledge of more than one Nordic language is not required but a merit.
