Head of PPA Sales

Turn Energy is a Swedish independent power producer that focuses on solar energy. Turn Energy develops, owns and operates solar parks primarily in Sweden and sells renewable energy to companies. The company has a growing development portfolio and aims to have 1.5 GW of solar parks in operation by 2028. Turn Energy was founded in 2017 and have HQ in Uppsala.

Established in 2017 and headquartered in Uppsala, Turn Energy is on a mission to reach 1.5 GW of operational solar parks by 2028. Our company is in the midst of a rapid development phase, with secured external financing to scale our business and take the position as number one solar power producer in the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities.

As the Head of PPA Sales, you will lead the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) business unit with a focus on securing long-term contracts for new renewable energy projects. Your role will encompass:

  • Identifying and communicating with potential clients, presenting PPA prospects
  • Managing and leading commercial negotiations to secure PPA agreements for projects
  • Overseeing contract closing and validation through contract and investment committees
  • Managing customer and third-party quality verification (KYC – Risk Credit)
  • Nurture and optimise client relationships and commercial contracts
  • Internal collaboration with finance, marketing, origination

 

We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications.

  • Prior experience in the renewable energy sector and a strong background in PPA agreements
  • The ability to build effective relationships with organizations, clients and partners
  • Understanding of renewable energy and the green transition, possibly from working in energy sourcing, procurement, or energy agreement management
  • Knowledge of the Swedish and/or European power markets
  • Exceptional personal drive and motivation
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)

You will be responsible for developing extensive internal collaboration, though not necessarily with direct responsibility for a large team.
