The Merchant Marketing team at Klarna leads all international marketing activities towards our merchants (online shops) and their brands. We spread our vision of turning online shopping into what it should be – safer, simpler and more convenient.

Our mission is to do our outmost in promoting the Klarna brand towards an ever-growing merchant population, both existing and prospect customers, in all of our markets.

The Merchant Communications Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all merchant facing touch points are coherent with regards to the Klarna brand and in line with merchant marketing objectives on a conceptual level. You will be responsible for writing all marketing content in English and planning communication strategies to make sure our merchants are reached in the optimal and most effective way. Always at your side are our translators and copywriters, supporting you in this important task. As our Merchant Communications Specialist, you will be our specialist on business to business communication – no matter it’s an email send out, a sales brochure, a tradeshow messaging or a newly produced movie. Included in these tasks are also managing all sourcing and production questions. An embracing milestone for this role will be the creation of routines and processes that will span over stakeholders in the whole organization.

You have experience in marketing communications or content management from a previous or current employment. You are a professional with experience in a marketing communications or journalism/PR related position, most likely with a relevant university degree in communications/journalism/marketing. Fluency in English is a must and a local market language (preferably a nordic language, German or Dutch).

To be successful in this position you are able to work towards tight deadlines in a structured manner and take responsibility for top notch deliveries. You have a talent for communication/writing and in structuring complex content in an easy manner that allows the reader to understand even the most complicated scenarios, thus ensuring our communication makes an impact.
