OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:
Support the delivery of The Absolut Company’s business objectives via excellence in Trade Marketing (BTL activities) – ensuring the development of activities and programs for the Off Trade Channel co-created, and in close collaboration with the Lead Markets. Ensure delivery off all initiatives to Market Company for successful execution in local market that both generate profitable sales and are in line with brand strategies and guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and successfully implement Global Marketing strategies, guidelines, activities and tools for Off Trade to achieve the strategic business goals and value to the markets (inspire the shopper to purchase)
• Ensure the delivery to internal clients (Lead Markets & Classic Markets Group Pernod Ricard) of the Off-trade/BTL projects needed to fulfil the business plans, e g the BTL projects specified in the respective brand plans (deliver value adding BTL solutions that elevate the brand communication in all channels)
• Act as the internal knowledge hub and guardian for Off-trade/BTL practices
• Work cross-functionally within TAC – close collaboration with the rest of the Absolut Brand Team (e g when launching new initiatives).
DAY TO DAY EXECUTION:
• Follow up on performance, build capability, envision, energise and enable
• Ensure smooth and efficient cooperation with the rest of the Trade Marketing Team, the Global Marketing Team, Lead Markets Pernod Ricard
• Manage relationships with external agencies and other stakeholders
• Initiate, own and run strategic and tactical projects for Trade Marketing or Global Marketing purposes
• Budget planning and cost management of Trade Marketing budget
• Ensure cost efficiency of projects and on time delivery
• Travel to markets on a regular basis, 30% to 40% of full time.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
Short term
• Ensure the delivery to internal clients of the Off-trade/BTL projects needed to fulfil the business plans, e g the BTL projects specified in the respective brand plans
• Ensure dialogue and interaction with Lead Markets on all strategic and tactical activities for Off Trade to develop and deliver valuable tools and initiatives to markets
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring a simple and effective way for on-time delivery of Off-trade/BTL solutions at the right level of quality and cost.
Long term
• Continue to leverage Off Trade promotion delivery to ensure best in class initiatives within PR
• Ensure that the off-trade channel expertise is fully integrated with Brand team expertise
• Deliver creative solutions that drive sales and support the strategic priorities in the business plan in close interaction with Lead Markets.
KEY CAPABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS/PROFILE:
• University Business or Marketing Degree, MBA is preferred
• 8-15 years of work experience in relevant marketing, trade management or brand positions
• FMCG experience highly desirable, preferably international experience
• Experience of Trade Marketing off-trade in an FMCG company (knowledge of the spirits industry is beneficial)
• Proven track record of leading Trade Marketing projects from brief to launch
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work with multiple stake holders simultaneously
• Excellent skills in managing time sensitive projects
• Real team player
• Doer, hands-on
• Strong results focus – a proven ability to work around obstacles in order to achieve business goals
